The Prairie Voice - Student Newspaper

The school newspaper will be produced 3 or 4 times during the year. Beginning the 2011-2012 school year, the Prairie Voice became an online publication. The newspaper will combine school news reporting and creative writing. We encourage students to submit articles to the newspaper. There are after-school meetings as necessary for each newspaper edition published.
Thanks for the support of teachers and students. The newspaper is so interesting when the ideas come from students. We like to see all three grade levels represented in the paper.

For Students: Be a Voice in The Prairie Voice

We are now accepting news from the students of BMS - Prairie.
We can't have a paper without your voice.

Do you have something to say? Write an article for The Prairie Voice.

We are looking for :
Art work
Poems
Comics
Favorite recipes kids can make
Short stories
Articles about your class or activity
Articles about your school sporting event
Articles about your favorite movie, band, or book
Articles about someone who has done something really special at Prairie

How do you submit an article?
1. Type your article on Microsoft Word here at school and save draft versions of it in your MP Users File.
2. When you are finished with it, save it in the Newspaper Folder. (Once you put it in the folder, you will not be able to change anything in the article, so don't send it until you are ready.)
3. Comics and Art work - put in the Newspaper box in the Library Media Center.
